BHS-Sonthofen Process Technology at POWTECH 2022

BHS-Sonthofen Process Technology will showcase its process expertise for filtration, drying, mixing and reacting at POWTECH from 27 to 29 September 2022. The company offering includes components, individual machines and integrated system solutions. A key focus this year is on high-temperature drying applications. Visitors can look forward to seeing an HTC-T horizontal dryer in action at booth 108 in hall 4a.

AOK Soccer Camp 2022 - Kicking like the pros

From August 2-4 and 9-11, ball-loving children and young people met at Oberstdorf's Oybele Stadium for joint training. BHS-Sonthofen: Looking forward to a reunion with the industry at bauma 2022

After two difficult and long years with corona, BHS-Sonthofen is pleased to meet its customers, distributors and partners in person again. At the new edition of the world's leading trade show this October (October 24 - 30 in Munich), technology leader BHS-Sonthofen will be exhibiting the twin-shaft batch mixer, which is considered the benchmark in mixing technology, as well as a single-shaft continuous mixer. In addition, BHS will be showing a rotor impact mill and a rotor centrifugal crusher in the crushing technology area at its 391 m² booth 449 in Hall B2.

BHS-Sonthofen acquires Eurostar Concrete Technology

The Italian manufacturer of planetary mixers Eurostar Concrete Technology S.p.A. and BHS-Sonthofen have joined forces as of March 18, 2022. With the sale to a highly recognized partner, Eurostar’s Managing Director Mario Zaccaron is strengthening the company’s position and ensuring its further development. At the same time, BHS-Sonthofen is expanding its own portfolio of twin-shaft batch concrete mixers to include high-quality planetary mixers for building materials applications for batch sizes up to 6,000 liters. The added solutions will offer customers of both companies additional equipment and service flexibility.

Three indexing belt filters for the production of hydrofluoric acid

BHS-Sonthofen Process Technology has supplied three larger than average indexing belt filters for the production of hydrofluoric acid. The key requirement for the design of the belt filters was particularly high chemical resistance given the strong acidic product attributes of the source material. BHS employed acid-resistant metallic materials and special plastics which offer maximum safety combined with high product quality. The plant has been in operation since the end of 2021..

BHS rotor impact mill with new hammer design optimizes output quality

BHS-Sonthofen has launched its proven rotor impact mill, which features a new hammer design and maintenance concept. The high-performance crusher with a vertical shaft is used to fine processing of metalliferous composites and industrial waste. Customers benefit from significantly improved output quality, easier maintenance and a higher degree of machine availability.

Vacuum dryers for active pharmaceutical ingredients (API)

BHS-Sonthofen is providing two identical GMP-vacuum dryers including controls for a international manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients and advanced intermediates. Commissioning in the customer cleanroom is scheduled for the second quarter of 2022.

IFAT 2022: Focus on fine processing of metal-containing residues and battery recycling

At this year's IFAT (Booth B4-351/450), BHS-Sonthofen is focusing on the fine processing of metal-containing residues – for example from automotive recycling or electrical and electronic scrap. A second focus is the process for recycling lithium-ion batteries, which has been tested in various reference cases. BHS will present exhibits related to this process, such as a rotor impact mill with a new hammer design, a horizontal dryer, and a separating table.

The BHS twin-shaft batch mixer of type DKXK in use for sand-lime blocks production

It is all a matter of the technology when it comes to sand-lime blocks: Baustoffwerke Havelland GmbH & Co. KG was looking for a new mixer to replace its old one at its plant in Oranienburg. The company aims to reduce wear and tear in sand-lime blocks production, so it now relies on BHS-Sonthofen technology and has ordered a modern BHS twin-shaft batch mixer of type DKXK 2600 S.
